| Ranges throughout
eastern and southern Oklahoma. Found in both urban and rural
areas, the pigmy rattlesnake, or ground rattler, can be found nearly
anywhere in its range where there is an abundance of frogs, its principle
diet. Its habitat ranges from heavily wooded, rocky hillsides
near water sources, to basements and railroads, occassionally into
backyards near drains, ditches, and swimming pools. |
